A big thanks to the Best Friends Staff Photog, Sarah Ause, for also photographing me in my early days.  This was the day that I met Cat Whitehill, the US Women's Soccer team captain.  She's a wonderful animal lover and a celebrity! You might notice that I'm reluctant to put a lot of weight on my left front paw.  Of course, that didn't stop me from having fun and enjoying the park and kids!!!

Early Photos Before Amputation 1

First off, a big thanks to Melissa Lipani for all of these photos.  It's wonderful to have a picture record of my growth before I had a forever home.  *lick*

This may be the first picture ever taken of me.  I was at the West Valley Animal Shelter or between there and the Salt Lake County Animal Shelter (a HUGE thanks to one of my saviors, April Harris for "pulling" me to safety).  The person in the photo is holding my dislocated and very painful leg.  My parents were told that I was around 4 months at this time (end of March 2010)... does that sound right?  My age is still a source for discussion depending on who you ask.

Hi all! 

Well, I'm finally blogging on the interweb and I can't tell you how excited I am.  For now, I want to thank all the folks who helped me out of the shelter and into my forever home.  I love my parents and my sister-buddy, Maude, SO VERY MUCH!

Maude and I spend our days running around in the backyard chasing each other and wrestling until either dad throws the green ball or mom tells us to "settle down."  I love doing "death rolls" in the grass and lunging at Maude's neck or heeling her.  She hates that!  Ha! 

But you'll hear all about how I spend my life... if you keep following my blog.  For now, I'm going to start posting some photos that my foster parents and others in the shelter world took of me.  Please take credit for the photos or correct me on the credit I give -- I'm trying to get them all right, but sometimes I just don't know who took the photo.
